The Minister for Trade and Development and Labour TD, Joe Costello, has welcomed the announcement this morning that 50 jobs are to be created in Dublin by leading software company SQS.

“This news is a great fillip for Dublin and I warmly welcome it because it is a sign of business confidence. The positions on offer are high-end, specialist roles, and I understand that 20 of them are to be created by the end of this year.

“The company has recently re-located to the Docklands in my constituency of Dublin Central, where it now enjoys state–of-the-art 4,000 sq ft modern office facilities that incorporate a training centre, IP-based high-speed communications facilities and fit-for-purpose customer hosting services. This announcement augurs well for the area, and it highlights how the Docklands continues its steady growth as a business-friendly environment and technology hub.

"Today's announcement also includes 25 new jobs for the SQS office in Belfast, so it is a vote of confidence in Ireland as a whole and in the Government's job creation and investment strategy."
