Costello welcomes 50 new jobs at Citrix

by Cllr Joe Costello

Labour TD Joe Costello has welcomed the announcement by Citrix of 50 new jobs at its East Point facilities in Dublin.  Citrix, which offers mobile workspace technologies, will see the number of people it employs in Ireland grow to 265 people by the end of 2014.

Deputy Costello said: “This announcement by Citrix is a further vote of confidence in the Irish economy and the talent of Irish workers.  It is also evidence of the continued growth in employment.  The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate is now 11.1%, down from a high of 15.1% in 2012.  The live register figures for Dublin have fallen by 9.2% in the last year alone.

“The expansion by Citrix has been supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.   As the economy continues to improve, getting people back to work is the priority of the Labour Party in Government.

“I would encourage people to apply for these positions.  Details on the jobs can be found on www.citrix.com/careers.  Moreover, the company will be holding a recruitment day on Saturday 18th October for Technical Support Engineers.  Further information on the recruitment day can be obtained by emailing dublinhire@citrix.com.”
