Confidence is clear as 100 tech jobs announced - Costello

8 October 2014

by Cllr Joe Costello

Confirmation that 100 new technology jobs are being created by two companies at East Point Business Park in Dublin has been warmly welcomed by Labour TD Joe Costello.

Citrix and FINEOS will each create 50 new jobs in the coming months. Citrix offers mobile workspace technologies, while FINEOS develops software products for the insurance industry.

Deputy Costello said: “These announcements by Citrix and FINEOS over the last day are a further vote of confidence in the Irish economy and in the talent of Irish workers. It is also evidence of the continued growth in employment. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate is now 11.2%, down from a high of 15.1% in 2012. The live register figures for Dublin have fallen by 9.2% in the last year alone.

“The expansion by Citrix has been supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland, while FINEOS is supported through Enterprise Ireland. As the economy continues to improve, getting people back to work is the priority of the Labour Party in Government.

“I would encourage people to apply for these positions. Details on the Citrix jobs can be found on www.citrix.com/careers, while details of the FINEOS jobs can be found at http://www.fineos.com/about/jobs/. Moreover, Citrix will be holding a recruitment day on Saturday 18th October for Technical Support Engineers. Further information on the recruitment day can be obtained by emailing dublinhire@citrix.com.”
