Costello welcomes creation of 700 new Deutsche Bank jobs

The Minister for Trade and Development, and Labour T.D., Joe Costello, has welcomed the announcement today that Deutsche Bank is to create 700 jobs in Dublin in the coming years.  The project is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

“This news is a great fillip for Dublin, and I warmly welcome it as a sign of business confidence.

“Deutsche Bank will be taking 100,000 square feet of office space at Eastpoint Business Park in my constituency of Dublin Central.  The bank intends to create a Regional Hub and Centre of Excellence in Dublin.

“Labour in Government is committed to fixing our broken economy and getting people back to work. Under the previous government, 250,000 people lost their jobs between 2008 and 2011. The latest figures show that almost 3,000 jobs are now being created each month. While it will take time to recover, today’s announcement is another sign that things are definitely moving in the right direction.”
