Costello disappointed by possible INM job losses

Labour TD, Joe Costello, has expressed concern at the potential loss of 30 jobs at Independent News and Media, arising from the changes announced today to the company's editorial structure.

Deputy Costello stated: “I am disappointed to learn that up 30 jobs may be lost at Independent News and Media on Talbot Street. It is essential that the company enters negotiations with its staff and their representatives to examine how the job losses can be minimised.

“Independent News and Media should also ensure that any redundancies that made are voluntary. I know that the staff are understandably very concerned about their future, and the company must work with them to achieve a mutually satisfactory outcome.”
